WKN Windkraft Nord AG has been planning, financing, building and operating wind farms since 1991. Wind systems with a total output of in excess of almost 1.000 megawatts have been realised in Germany and abroad. As well as its headquarters in Husum’s House of Future Energies, WKN also has subsidiaries and joint ventures in many European countries and the USA.

With more than 90 developed wind farms, the company is one of the most experienced project managers in the world. The WKN team consists of renowned wind energy experts who see each project as a new challenge and who strive to find the best possible solution by working closely with the project partners on site.

It was this pronounced pioneering spirit which took WKN to international markets from very early on. And today the fruits of this market are being harvested: large-scale wind farms are currently being built in Italy, Spain and Poland.

In all projects, WKN relies on long-term strategies and cooperation with local partners. Our business activities include site evaluation and development, planning, financing, ready-to-use construction and operation through to commercial and technical management of the wind farm.
