What will be the future of RES in Poland?

PWEA 2023 with the participation of Sevivon is behind us

Another edition of the largest industry event in Poland - the PWEA 2023 conference of the Polish Wind Energy Association has passed. Representatives of enterprises operating in the renewable energy sector, representatives of public administration, local authorities and scientists met in Serock to debate challenges and prospects of wind energy development in our country.

Sevivon also marked its presence during the event. We talked about our projects and investment plans at our company stand and during panel discussions with the participation of our representatives.

For all guests of this year's conference we prepared a Sevivon space, where members of our team together with partners from energy consult Polska Sp. z o.o. and PAVANA Polska Sp. z o.o. shared their knowledge on the company's involvement in the implementation of wind projects in various parts of Poland.

In turn, the perspectives of local authorities, residents of municipalities where wind power plants operate and industry companies were discussed during the panel 'Self-government vs. Investors' at PWEA 2023 in Serock. Sevivon was represented in this discussion by a member of the company's management board, Holger Gallas. He referred to the planning changes required in the context of the progressive development of RES technologies. He also emphasised that "it is important for industry companies not only to carry out the entire investment process, but also to plan for efficient power generation". He concluded that it remains important "to take into account efficient, more modern, increasingly taller wind turbines in the drawing up of local spatial development plans (...) the history of projects developed in Poland shows that failure to take adequate technological development into account can significantly slow down the pace of the energy transition towards RES".

Full coverage of the panel with Holger Gallas can be found on BiznesAlert.pl.

On the eve of the Conference, Holger Gallas gave an interview to the Teraz-Środowisko.pl portal, in which he spoke about the effects of the amendment to the Distance Law, reductions in RES generation, the exponential increase in connection refusals and the prospects for the development of hydrogen technology in Poland.

At Sevivon, in cooperation with local governments and local communities, we shape the green future of Poland. See you every day in municipalities and next year at the next PWEA Conference!
